Privacy
This page describes how the xmade.dev website handles data. Everything below reflects how the site is actually built. Privacy information for the SUMX and CLOX apps will be published separately before they are released.
X Made is a trading name of Cineworx Ltd. Cineworx Ltd is the legal entity responsible for this website and the X Made apps.
Website data
The site is a set of static pages. It does not require an account, and there is no login, profile or user database.
Our web host records standard server logs (such as IP address, timestamp and requested page) as part of operating the service, as virtually all web hosting does.
Contact enquiries
If you use the contact form, the message is sent to us by email. It contains only what you provide, plus the time it was submitted:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The enquiry type you selected
- The product you selected, if any
- Your message
- The date and time of submission
We use these details to reply to you. They are not added to a mailing list, sold, or shared with third parties. The form does not write to a database — submissions exist only as email.
To limit automated abuse, the form counts recent submissions per browser session and per IP address. The IP address is stored only as a one-way hash, alongside timestamps, and is discarded automatically after 15 minutes.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, tag managers or third-party tracking scripts. We have verified this against the site’s own source.
One cookie is set, and only when you use the contact form: a standard PHP session cookie used for the abuse limiting described above. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and is not used to track you across sites.
The contact form also uses your browser’s session storage to hold what you typed, so your message is not lost if submission fails. It stays on your device and is cleared when the message sends or the tab closes.
Third-party requests
One page makes them. Everywhere else, every file this site loads — pages, styles, scripts, images and fonts — is served from xmade.dev itself. Our typefaces, Inter and JetBrains Mono, are open-source faces we host on our own server rather than loading from Google Fonts, so viewing those pages sends your IP address and browser details to us alone.
The exception is the currency converter, which cannot work without an exchange rate and has no way to know one on its own. It requests rates from api.frankfurter.dev, an open-source service that publishes the European Central Bank’s daily reference rates. The first request is made as soon as that page opens, because it converts a default amount straight away, and another is made when you change the amount or either currency.
Each request carries the amount you entered and the two currency codes, and — as with any request to any server — your IP address and browser details reach that service. It sets no cookie and asks for no account. The request goes from your browser straight to that service rather than through our server, so the figures never reach us and we have no record of what you convert. No other page on this site contacts anyone but us, and the site’s other five calculators send nothing anywhere at all.
Product privacy
SUMX is still in development and CLOX is in pre-development. Neither app’s source is part of this website, so we make no claims here about what those apps do or do not collect.
Each app’s privacy details will be published on its product page and in its store listing before release.
Data retention
Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Abuse-limiting records expire automatically within 15 minutes. Server logs are retained according to our host’s standard policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Because the only personal data we hold comes from enquiries you send us, this is usually a matter of deleting the relevant email thread.
Contact
For any privacy question or request, email hello@xmade.dev, or use the contact form and choose “Privacy / data request”.
